42-Year-Old Man Arrested After Armed Robbery

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that took place at Blue Hole Hill Park on Sunday, June 16th, the police have confirmed.

Police previously said the a man brandished a knife and robbed a mother and her child, punching the 13-year-old son who bravely intervened to assist his mother.

A police spokesperson said, “A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the reported armed robbery that occurred at Blue Hole Hill Park on the afternoon of Sunday, June 16th.

“He remains in police custody at this time, pending further inquiries.

“Investigators are still interested in speaking with any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information and renew their appeal for those that can assist the investigation to contact Detective Sergeant Windol Thorpe on 247-1474 or his e-mail wthorpe@bps.bm or Detective Constable Seymour Foote on 247-1154 or his e-mail sfoote@bps.bm as soon as possible.”
