Joell, Harvey, Lewis Compete In Championships
Malik Joell, Sajan Harvey, and Zekiah Lewis recently represented St. Johnsbury Academy in the Vermont Division 1 State Track and Field Championships.
Harvey picked up the bronze medal during the Men’s Varsity 400 Meters, stopping the clock in a time of 51.31.
Joell won the Men’s Varsity 800 Meters bronze medal after he was clocked across the line in a time of 2:02.71; Harvey finished sixth by clocking in at 2:03.62.
Harvey led off and Joell ran the anchor leg for the St Johnsbury Men’s Varsity 4×400 Relay team that won the bronze medal with a time of 3:30.54.
The pair competed in the same positions in order to help St Johnsbury Academy win gold during the Men’s Varsity 4×800 Relay with a time of 8:16.02.
Lewis finished the Women’s Varsity 100 Meters Preliminaries in ninth place, stopping the clock in a time of 13.38.
Lewis then finished eighth during the Women’s Varsity 200 Meters, clocking a time of 27.83.
Lewis closed out running the anchor leg for the St Johnsbury Women’s Varsity 4×100 Relay team that finished 6th with a time of 52.68.
