Court: Two Men Deny Charge Relating To Video

Appearing in Magistrates Court today, Ezra Ararat, 34, of Devonshire, and Raymond Swan, 44, of Hamilton parish, pleaded not guilty to a charge related to allegedly threatening law enforcement officials by publishing a video advocating the shooting of police, prosecutors, and judges.
Mr Ararat was remanded into custody by Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe, while Mr Swan was granted $15,000 bail with two like sureties. He also has to be fitted with an electronic monitoring device and report to the Hamilton Police Station on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 7 am and 6 pm. Also, he has a curfew between 7 pm and 6 am.
The next scheduled court date for this case is August.
