Hamilton Princess Staff Play Football For Charity
Celebrity chef, Marcus Samuelsson, of Marcus’ restaurant headed up Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s football team in a recent friendly round-robin tournament with principal suppliers, Butterfield & Vallis, BGA, and Pitt & Co.
The tournament, played at the North Village Community Club football field, was held to foster team building and to raise cash for local charity, Meals on Wheels, from participants, spectators and the companies’ themselves.
A spokesperson said, “$1,500 was raised for the charity that prepares and delivers freshly cooked meals to people who are incapacitated or are otherwise unable to prepare a nourishing meal for themselves and perhaps lack a family member, caregiver or friend who can help.”
