18-Year-Old Woman Stabbed In Southampton
[Updated] An 18-year-old woman was in the area of the Rum Bum Beach Bar in Southampton when “she was stabbed multiple times, seemingly by an unknown young woman,” and she was transported to hospital for “treatment of non-life threatening stab wounds,” the police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:30am Sunday, August 25th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported assault.
“It appears that an 18-year-old Devonshire woman was at the Rum Bum Beach Bar, Horseshoe Bay beach, Southampton with friends when she was involved in a dispute with another young woman.
“Apparently the 18-year-old woman then exited the establishment – which was in the process of closing – and stood near the bathrooms and outdoor showers with a group of people when she was stabbed multiple times, seemingly by an unknown young woman.
“The injured teen was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on a private motorcycle and admitted to a general ward for treatment of non-life threatening stab wounds to her body as well as her arms.
“Another individual that was understood to be present during the incident, said to be an 18-year-old Devonshire man, was transported via ambulance to hospital for treatment of a laceration to his arm.
“His injury is also non-life threatening, but the circumstances regarding how he was hurt remain unclear at this time. The scene has been processed and inquiries continue.
“Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744 as soon as possible.

Update 7.09pm: A Rum Bum Beach Bar spokesperson said, “It has come to our attention that there was an incident at Horseshoe Bay during the early hours of Sunday morning at 12:33am.
“Last evening, we were hosting a special event – an Electronic Dance Music Party – which had finished at midnight, and security guards had escorted patrons off the premises.
“Soon after, as staff members were cleaning and breaking down equipment, the Police were on scene and notified us of the incident which occurred in the bathroom/parking lot area.
“After police arrived, they spoke with the on-duty manager and our security staff who allowed access to our video surveillance cameras. We are assisting local officials in their inquiries.”
We hope that the young lady and gentlemen will be okay and the person who did this will be caught and dealt with in court. We hope that situations like this will not increase because we are a loving people although some have recently eaten too much mustard and we are getting this type of conduct.
