Extraordinary Municipal Election On Sept 19

On September 19th, the Corporation of St. George will be holding an election to fill the seat of Municipal Residents’ Councillor.

A spokesperson said, “An extraordinary municipal election for the Corporation of St. George to fill the seat of Municipal Residents’ Councillor, will be held on Thursday, 19th September 2019 at Penno’s Wharf Cruise Ship Terminal in St. George.

“This election is only for municipal residents of the municipality of St. George. Registration for this election will close on Wednesday, 21 August 2019 at 5:00 p.m. All other election related information can be found on our website at elections.gov.bm or from our office on 293-VOTE.”

This follows after the recent official notice which stated, “Pursuant to section 19[2] read with section 17 [4] of the Municipalities Act 1923, notice is hereby given that Tania Lesley Stafford resigned on 23 July 2019, and I declare that the office of residents’ Councillor of the Corporation of St. George’s, formerly occupied by the said Tania Lesley Stafford, is vacant.”

      Kenny, is known for his honesty and he cares for ST George,if only the present Gov could take a page from Kenny’s book and look out for all Bermudians…
      Things are not looking to good for Bermuda,the land tax increase,postal service in certain parishes,some of us have not received our land tax bills so far !!!! the roads are a disgrace… and else for the visitors who have complained regarding the lack of facilities or the disgusting conditions of the bathrooms on the south shore …Bermudians who voted for the P.LP. ARE HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS
