Investigation Continues Into Offensive Graffiti

Police responded to reports of offensive graffiti spray-painted at several locations and have appealed for anyone with information to please contact the police on 295-0011.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 10am Thursday, August 1st police officers responded to reports of willful damage in the City of Hamilton/Pembroke area.

“The offensive graffiti, which threatened violence to police officers during Cup Match, was found spray painted at:

  • “Dundonald Street
  • “Happy Valley Road
  • “Junction of Beacon Street and Angle Street
  • “Cedar Avenue

“The graffiti was documented and inquiries continue.

“Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”

    That graffiti and it’s messages were chilling. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those officers out on patrol this holiday. Please stay safe, and I for one thank you for the work that you do and stand with you in the fight against those who would see our island descend into anarchy.

    Get less destructive if you want to be taken serious.

    Leave the police alone you may need them some day like it or not.
