Tennis: Bermuda Trio Continue Wadadli Bowl

Trey Mallory and Tariq Simons continued competing in the Wadadli Bowl Under 18 COTECC Tennis Tournament in Antigua & Barbuda, while Antonio Warner continued playing in the Under 14 Division.

In the quarter-finals, Simons took on Ellis Short from the USA who was the number four seed, with Simons being defeated in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.

Mallory teamed up with Ellis Short in the Doubles and the pair advanced to the finals after winning their semi-final in a three set battle against Chukwudumebi Smarty from the USA and Mathis Tremblay from Canada. Mallory and Short won the first set 7-5, went down 7-6 in the second set, and won the third and final set 10-4.

Warner advanced to the final following a straight sets victory over the number one seed Jace Quashie from Trinidad, defeating him in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

Warner teamed up with Vadeanand Resaul from Guyana in the Boy’s Doubles and they defeated Joel Dazzell and DeAndre Weeks from Antigua in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
