Out Magazine Spotlights Island’s Pride Parade
The digital edition of leading American LGBT fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazine Out posted a major front-page report on Bermuda’s inaugural Pride celebrations.
Titled “Meet the Faces of Bermuda’s First-Ever Pride,” and featuring a gallery of 35 photos of the August 31 parade, Out executive editor Raquel Willis said the island “put forth its own flair” during the observance.
A look at the Pride Parade held on August 31
“There were chants of solidarity and posters signaling a growing, yet mighty LGBTQ+ community primed to transform the sun-soaked, turquoise watered British Overseas territory,” said Ms Willis.
“Found within the more than 6,000 attendees in the streets of Hamilton, the country’s capital, was a complicated, generations-long narrative of resilience and a sizable ecosystem of identities and experiences that helped lay fertile ground for this tremendous display of collective power.”

celebrating the day when a small minority forced their contrary beliefs upon the vast majority, in defiance to the religious principles our nation was founded on. Yay. Progess.
On de upside, de more guys that are gay is more women for straight guys.
Hmmmm
Nobody was forced to attend the Pride parade. Cut it out.
Do you understand the principal of tyranny of the majority? One of the most important roles of a democratically elected government is the protection of minorities. Religion should have no place in the laws of a country, no matter what principles that country was founded on. Your ridiculous beliefs are your beliefs. Presumably you are suggesting that this country was founded on christian beliefs. Am I okay to own slaves then? (re: Exodus 21)
Bigotry doesn’t have a place in modern Bermuda.
Sorry, but modern BDA is a place of bigotry and hatred.
You never visited the USA or any other Country!!
Now stfu.
The topic is Bermuda , NOT some other place overseas.
Thanks for proving my point so eloquently.
“Sorry, but modern BDA is a place of bigotry and hatred.”
