Greta Thunberg Sails ‘Close To Bermuda’
Teenage environmentalist Greta Thunberg recently sailed ’close to Bermuda’ as she makes her way towards Europe from the United States, tweeting about her proximity to the island.
She is best known for sparking the ‘school strike’ movement when, at age 15, she began spending her school days outside the Swedish parliament to call for stronger action on global warming.
Ms. Thunberg tweeted, “Day 5. Sailing close to Bermuda! Very comfortable onboard La Vagabonde! I’m busy teaching the others how to play Yatzy.”
The 16-year-old climate activist is sailing on board the catamaran La Vagabonde with an Australian family as she makes her way to Madrid for the United Nations Climate Change Conference next month. The Swedish teenager uses sailing as a method of transportation as she won’t fly because of the carbon footprint of air transport.
Her most recent trip originated on the east coast of the United States after she visited the country in order to attend the United Nations Climate Summit in New York City in August.

The cost of the yacht was over 4 million, also the crew was flown in and flown out. The overall carbon footprint to build the yacht was the equivalent of close to 50+ air flights.
yours does not
She and her group were hoping that most wouldn’t have noticed that hypocrisy. The old, do as I say not as I do thing. Like Bloomberg when he flies to Bermuda on his private jet. You’d think that the environment is so important to him that he could fly commercial, even if it’s first class.
Private jet uses less fuel than commercial jet so he is doing the right thing! And BTW you can continue to hate but the super rich don’t care about your opinion
