In extending her suppport for the important work that BBBS does, Minister Foggo said, “Mentoring is something that is of great benefit to the individual, to the young person or mentee, and to Bermuda as a whole.

“Those in a position to give back by offering their time, knowledge, care and compassion are special individuals, because you are making the future of Bermuda a priority by mentoring our youth.

“Bermuda must provide an environment that offers our young people the opportunity to be nurtured and supported.

“To those in our community who have taken up the mantle to become mentors – thank you for the work that you do. The mentoring and support that you provide our young people will have a positive impact on them and in turn, a positive impact on our community.”

Minister Foggo also acknowledged the work of Big Brothers, Big Sisters Managing Director, Patrina O’Connor-Paynter and the entire team saying, “Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Bermuda, thank you for reaching the hearts and minds of our young people, thank you for motivating and inspiring our community and we wish you continued success.”
