PLP Extends Condolences To Byron Family
The Progressive Labour Party expressed their condolences to the family of Mr. Walter Byron.
A PLP spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family of former PLP candidate and long-time Party worker, Mr Walter Byron.
“Mr Byron ran for Parliament in Warwick East in 1976. He was unsuccessful, however, he remained an active and steadfast member of his branch, which currently is Warwick South Central [Constituency 26].
“He served in numerous capacities on the Party executive, including as Party Treasurer and Party Chairman. Mr Byron was a well-known taxi driver who championed his country to tourists and locals alike.
“We send our condolences to his wife, Roma, children, Dean, Denise, and Dawn, and to his extended family. We thank you for sharing your beloved family member with our Party and the wider community.”
