Video: Gombeys Help Celebrate The New Year
As the island celebrates the start of a new decade, a centuries old tradition endures, with the Gombeys out today [Jan 1] to help the island to celebrate the New Year. Multiple troupes started out earlier today, and they are spanning the island from east to west, and we caught up with them briefly in the Devonshire area this evening.
