Video: Police On Latest Firearm Incident
The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] held a conference this afternoon [Feb 14] to discuss last night’s firearms incident.
Detective Sergeant Jason Smith said, “We can subsequently confirm that a firearm was discharged in the area and that a 22-year-old male received injuries as a result. The victim was taken to hospital, was treated for his gunshot wounds, and he was later discharged.
“An active investigation is now underway and it is being lead by myself, Detective Sergeant Jason Smith of the Serious Crime Unit.
“Any witnesses or members of the public who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Happy Valley Lane Tribe Road #3 area, in particular after 7.00pm last night – we want to hear from you. We are also interested in members of the public that would have seen two persons on a motorcycle acting suspiciously in and around the area.
