Video: David Bascome Inducted In Hall Of Fame

Bermudian David Bascome was inducted into the Baltimore Blast Hall of Fame this weekend, with the U.S. Major Arena Soccer League team honouring him for his accomplishments.

During the ceremony, the announcer said that Mr Bascome played for the Baltimore Blast from 2003 to 2008, and became an assistant coach since 2006, and during his Blast career he had 82 goals, 41 assists, and has 8 championships as a player and coach.

The U.S. soccer team previously said, “The 11 time champion Baltimore Blast will induct 3 new members to their Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 29th. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees include, Marty McGinty, Lee Tschantret and David Bascome.

Baltimore Blast Owner Ed Hale said, “This group is one of the best of our great tradition of hall of famers. Each one of them brought something special to our team on and off the field.”

Baltimore Blast Vice President of Soccer Operations Gianni Tumminello said “David and Lee’s contributions to the Blast and the game of indoor soccer are well known and it’s great to see them take their spot in the Blast Hall of Fame.”

Mr Bascome’s bio on their website states, “David Bascome, who played professional indoor soccer for 17 years, is entering his 14th season as Danny Kelly’s assistant coach.

“He was named to the position on October 12, 2006 and has since helped lead the team to the 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2016 Championships. During his 17-year playing career, Bascome won three championships, all with the Blast.”
