Dolphin Quest Launches Virtual Program
Dolphin Quest has launched a virtual program in order to “maintain connection with the community, provide educational outreach opportunities, and help support continued animal care” during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A spokesperson said, “The Covid-19 situation and necessary distancing and quarantine orders have required Dolphin Quest to pause its onsite guest interactive programs.
“In the meantime, we have launched virtual experiences to maintain our connection with the community, provide educational outreach opportunities, and help support our continued animal care.
Dolphin Quest co-founder Dr. Rae Stone:
“Here are three virtual ways Dolphin Quest is staying connected with the public during Covid-19:
“1. Daily Facebook Live Broadcasts – 4.00pm Bermuda time daily.
“2. Complimentary School Programs – We are offering our virtual field trips free for Bermuda schools during May and June.
“3. Dolphin Quest’s Exclusive Virtual Encounters [New] – Private Zoom sessions reservable for Dolphin Quest Bermuda for homebound families. A live dolphin painting session can also be added. Paid participation helps support the continued care of our animals while our onsite programs are unavailable.”
