Unique Cocktail Celebrates Bermuda Day
John Lake – Rosewood Bermuda’s bar manager – has created a ‘Jewel of the Atlantic’ cocktail for people across the island to make at home in celebration of Bermuda Day.
A spokesperson said, “In celebration of one of the island’s most important holidays, Bermuda Day, Rosewood Bermuda bar manager John Lake has created a first-ever ‘Jewel of the Atlantic’ cocktail for readers to make at home.
“Named the ‘Jewel of the Atlantic’ after Bermuda’s nickname, the drink represents the island using rum made in Bermuda and the red colour to represent the flag. It was created for individuals to make at home to celebrate the 400 years of heritage and history from the island.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Gosling’s Silver Rum
- 1 oz Martini Rosso
- 0.5 oz Campari
- 1 oz blood orange juice
- 4-5 fresh raspberries
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice
- Shake and double strain [using a mesh strainer]
- Garnish with a blood orange peel twist
