Cavendish Car Park System Starts On June 29

June 19, 2020

The newly installed barrier system in the Cavendish Car Park is “scheduled to come online for automated payment” on Monday, June 29th.

A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton advises that work and testing has been completed on the newly installed barrier system in the Cavendish Car Park. The car park is scheduled to come online for automated payment on Monday, June 29th, 2020.

“Motorists are reminded that the Cavendish Car Park is an all-day lot, with paid parking, at $2 per hour, Monday to Saturday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. A monthly parking permit can be obtained from the City for a fee of $400.00 and grants access also to Bull’s Head, Elliott Street and Par-la-Ville car parks. A lost ticket will incur a fee of $20.00.

“As with the other barrier systems around the City, motorists must collect a ticket upon entry, scan their ticket and pay the requested fee at a paystation when they return to their vehicle, then proceed to the exit barrier where they will once again scan their validated ticket for exit. Payment accepted in the Cavendish lot is via cash [exact money as no change is given], credit/debit card or the EasyPark Mobile app.”
