Virtual Carnival Event To Be Held On June 6

Bermuda’s three Mas Bands –  Party People Entertainment, Code Red and NOVA Mas International –  will be providing a five-hour ‘Virtual Carnival’ experience on Saturday [June 6].

A spokesperson said, “In an attempt to keep the spirit of carnival alive, Bermuda’s three Mas bands [Party People Entertainment, Code Red and NOVA Mas International, collectively the “Bands”] are providing a five-hour virtual Carnival experience that will rival the road.

“Due to COVID-19, the Bands cancelled their participation in Bermuda Carnival 2020, but on Saturday, June 6th 2020 the Bands present #VAX – The Virtual Carnival Injection.

“The live stream event will feature both local and international DJs who will entertain with nonstop party vibes to cure those carnival withdrawals! The DJ line-up features Bermudian favourites including: DJ Chubb, DJ Ibreeze, DJ Rusty G, DJ Mystro; and international heavy hitters, such as: Tony X, Back 2 Basics, Kevin Crown & DJ Puffy!

“The virtual party starts at 4:00pm and ends at 9:00pm; and can be streamed via: mcarnival.live. Viewers are encouraged to relive the memories from the road. Grab your costumes, put on your feathers, join in on the live experience and embrace the spirit of carnival.

“In addition to the non-stop party vibes, there will be opportunities for groups of friends and individuals to engage in virtual challenges for chances to win $2,500 worth of prizes which have been provided courtesy of the Bands and their sponsors.

“The event also serves as a fundraising opportunity for the Coalition for the Protection of Children. Viewers will have the opportunity to make donations via the streaming platform throughout the event.
