A vessel was pulled free during high tide after running aground in the vicinity of Coney Island.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre was advised by a member of the public that the 31ft Power Craft West Wind was hard aground in the vicinity of Coney Island.

“The Coast Guard on patrol in the area were tasked to the scene and confirmed the vessels intention to wait for high tide, advising they had gone aground due to an error in navigation.

“It was subsequently confirmed the vessel had been pulled free on high tide and was now safe and secure on her moorings.“
