July 2, 2020

Oliver Betschart competed in the Virtual Pepsi Little People’s Golf Tournament.

Pepsi Little People’s is an international junior golf tournament for boys and girls ages 3 through 18. It has been held annually at golf courses in Quincy, Illinois, USA, since 1974, and has hosted some 24,000 junior golfers and their families.

Because of COVID-19, the 47th annual Pepsi Little People’s, originally scheduled for June 22nd – 24th, 2020, has been canceled and is being replaced with a Virtual Pepsi Little People’s.

The American Junior Golf Association [AJGA] has agreed to grant the winners of the boys and girls 16-18 divisions in this virtual event a tournament exemption. Division winners will each receive an exemption to the Future Champions Golf.

Betschart competed in the Boys 10-11 Age Group Division and finished 5th after a two-round score of 148.

Anson Munzlinger from Columbia and Dexter Zimmerman from Texas both shot 139, with Eli Cummings from Michigan third with a two-round score of 142.

Betschart shot a first-round 72, which was followed by a second-round 76.
