Man Charged With Shooting, Firearm Offence

A man was charged today in Magistrates Court with attempting to unlawfully cause the death of another person.

Taaj Muhammad, 25, from St George’s, was alleged to have attempted to unlawfully cause the death of Kenneth Wade on June 13 and for using a firearm while committing an indictable offence.

Alternatively, he could face charges of unlawfully shooting Mr Wade with intent to do grievous bodily harm on June 13 and for using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, namely intentionally shooting Mr Wade.

Mr Muhammad did not have to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.
