Kamal Worrell Appears In Supreme Court

A man appeared in Supreme Court today in connection with the murder of Chavelle Dillion Burgess.

Lawyer Kamal Worrell did not have to enter a plea on a murder charge, unlawful wounding, and seven assault charges.

Ms Dillion Burgess was reported missing in April 2020.

Mr Worrell’s next court appearance is scheduled for May. He remains on $50,000 bail and two $25,000 sureties. His bail condition also includes him wearing an electronic monitoring device, reporting to the Hamilton Police Station on Mondays. Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and requires him to adhere to curfew, and surrender all travel documents.
