Covid-19 Emergency Order Extended: 60 Days
The Public Health [COVID-19] Emergency Order 2020 has been extended for 60 days.
The regulations state, “Whereas the Public Health [COVID-19] Emergency Order 2020 declared a public health emergency with effect from 6am on 30 June 2020; And whereas the Minister of Health, after consultation with the Chief Medical Officer, has determined that it is necessary to extend that Order; Now therefore the Minister of Health, in exercise of the power conferred by section 107A of the Public Health Act 1949, makes the following Extension Order:
“This Order may be cited as the Public Health [COVID-19] Emergency Extension Order 2020. The Public Health [COVID-19] Emergency Order 2020 is extended for 60 days. Accordingly, in paragraph 3[2] of that Order, delete ’29 July’ and substitute ’27 September’.”
