“Small Spill” From Ferry At Hamilton Ferry Depot

There was a “small diesel spill” while bunkering a ferry at the Hamilton Ferry Depot on July 3rd, with approximately 1 gallon of diesel going into the water.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Radio received a telephone call from the Marine & Ports Office in Hamilton advising that there was a small diesel spill while bunkering the ferry Cecil Smith.

“Approximately 1 gallon of diesel went into the water at the Hamilton Ferry Depot. The spill had been boomed off and the oil has been cleaned up using absorbent pads.”
