Vessel Runs Aground With One Person Onboard

The Bermuda Coast Guard towed a 17ft vessel with one person onboard after went “hard aground” on Saturday, July 11th.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Local vessel P/C Sea Foam calls Bermuda Radio on VHF to report a vessel aground just east of Riddell’s Bay light.

“The vessel did not respond to marine radio calls from Bermuda Radio, P/C Sea Foam remains in the area with her deck flood lights on. Bermuda Radio requested that Bermuda Coast Guard respond to the incident.

“The Coast Guard found the 17 ft vessel P/C Dangler hard aground with 1 person onboard who was luckily uninjured, they were able to tow the vessel back to her mooring in Riddell’s Bay without further incident.”
