Craig Bean Championships Day Two Results
The 2020 Craig Bean Memorial Championships continued at the Fairmont Southampton Tennis Courts.
Men’s number one Tariq Simons took on Daniel Phillips, who is in the Rafa Nadal Academy, with the pair battling in a match that went on for more than two and a half hours.Simons won the first set 6-4, and then won the second set 7-6 to win the match in straight sets.
Morgan Lightbourne won her ladies singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 defeating Louisa Freisenbruch, while Malahku Selassie defeated Coyatito Smith 6-3. Mike Toyer defeated Jon Brunson in straight sets 6-1, 6-2, while Quinton Burgess defeated Victoria Stephens 6-0, 6-0.
