Group Assembly Size Increased To 75 Persons

Amendments were made to increase the permitted group assembly size from 50 to 75 persons, effective today [Aug 17].

Speaking at Thursday’s [Aug 13] press briefing, Minister of National SecurityRenee Ming said, “The Cabinet gave consideration to increase the group assembly size from 50 to 75 persons. As such, in accordance with the Public Health Regulations Section 5.3 [A], group sizes will start at 75 persons. This will be effective as of Monday, August 17th, 2020.”

People are advised to still maintain social distancing and mask wearing as able at gatherings.
