Us Open Cocktail Reception

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Tourism Authority’s Us Open Cocktail Reception is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Saturday August 29, 2020 between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium, 2 Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  1. All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  2. Number of persons permitted to attend event– 115 persons
  3. Persons must wear mask when not seated or moving around the venue.
  4. Security to monitor and enforce COVID 19 Regulations.
  5. The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above

Bermuda Cricket Board

t20 Cricket Matches

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Cricket Board T20 Cricket Matches are events justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble Sunday August 30, 2020 between 10:00 am and 7:30 pm at 56 Wellington Slip Road, St. George’s Parish [Wellington Oval] with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  1. All persons attending the cricket matches must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  2. Attendance of persons at matches limited to 325 persons
  3. Spectators allowed to gather in groups of no more than 25 persons
  4. Spectator groups to maintain physical distancing from each other at 20 feet
  5. No socializing permitted between groups. Spectators must remain in their designated group for duration of time at the match.
  6. Spectators must wear mask when moving about the venue.
  7. Club Management must identify a secure area that can be used for isolation purposes should a person become ill at the match.
  8. Security and/or stewards must be present to enforce / monitor that physical distancing is observed at all times.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Trade Union Congress–Labour Day March is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Monday September 7, 2020 between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm at Union Square, City of Hamilton and march through the City of Hamilton:

Route of march:

Depart from Union Square [Union Street] , right on Victoria Street, left on Court Street to Front Street, Front Street to Queen Street, Queen Street to Church Street, Church Street to Cedar Avenue, Cedar Avenue to Dundonald Street, DunDonald Street to Union Square [Union Street]

Conditions:

  1. All persons attending the march must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  2. Marchers to be escorted by the Bermuda Police Service
  3. All police instructions to be followed.

Notice Of Proposed Delisting Of A Building [Historic Monument] Of Special Architectural And Historical Interest

“Cedar Park Variety”, 1 School Drive, Devonshire [Grade 3]

WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974, I, the Hon. Walter H. Roban, JP, MP, Minister of Home Affairs, am considering the De-Listing of the above-mentioned building;

And Whereas I, the Minister, must before removing the historic monument from the List of buildings of special architectural or historical interest give notice to the owners, occupiers, and the public of my intention AND ALSO give them an opportunity to make such representations or objections as they think fit;

Now, Therefore, under the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974 and all other powers thereunto enabling, I Hereby Give Notice, that I will receive any representations or objections to be considered by me before removing the said building in the list, such representations or objections should be made in writing to the Permanent Secretary [Home Affairs], c/o Forward Planning, Department of Planning, Dame Lois Browne-Evans Building, 5th Floor, 58 Court Street, Hamilton, HM 12. This should reach the Department before Monday 28th September 2020.
