Regulations 2020 Large Group Exemption: Alcoholics Anonymous Picnic
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Alcoholics Anonymous Picnic is an event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble on Saturday July 25, 2020 between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Shelly Bay Park, North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, with the following conditions:
Conditions as follows:
- All persons attending the walk must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Maximum of 65 persons.
- Marshals [3] to ensure physical distancing and with hand sanitizers.
- Organizers must record contact details of persons attending the picnic for purpose of contact tracing.
- Event duration limited to 3 hours [4:00 pm to 7:00 pm]
- No selling or consumption of alcohol at event.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above.

Regulations 2020 Large Group Exemption:
Cedar Hill Community Unity Walk
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Cedar Hill Community Unity Walk is an event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble on Saturday July 25, 2020 between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Purvis Primary School, 44 St. Mary’s Road, Warwick, with the following conditions:
Conditions as follows:
- All persons attending the walk must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Maximum of 100 persons.
- Walkers to be divided up into groups of 10 and set off in staggered starts of 2 minute intervals. Family or persons of same household are encouraged to walk together.
- Must have 10 marshals / volunteers to assist with physical distancing and hand sanitizers.
- Organizers must record contact details of all participants for purpose of contact tracing.
- Event duration limited to 2 hours [6:30 pm to 8:30 pm]
- No selling or consumption of alcohol at event.
- No playing of music [DJ / Live performance] at the event.
- No post event gathering permitted [for food etc.]
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above.
