“We have initiated our hurricane preparation procedures in the Royal Naval Dockyard starting with the evacuation of the marina.

“As part of our standard preparations, boats are stored in the South Basin, the North Rock car park and in between the buildings on Smithery Lane.

“Due to this, these areas will be closed to the public once the boats are in place. Clocktower Parade, in front of the Clocktower Mall, will be temporarily re-opened to facilitate the traffic flow.

“WEDCO staff will be checking the buildings and grounds at Dockyard and taking the necessary precautionary actions in the coming days.”

WEDCO will be posting updates on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
