Covid-19 Updates To Be Provided x4 A Week
The Ministry of Health will now provide Covid-19 updates in the morning on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with the results of the previous day, rather than providing daily updates in the evenings as has been the case for the past few months.
A Government spokesperson said that “the timing of the regular release of Covid-19 statistics has been revised. The previous timing of the daily Covid-19 release [evenings] followed on from the evening press conferences held during the State of Emergency.
“To reduce overtime and relieve Ministry of Health staff from working unsociable hours, we will now compile Covid-19 numbers in the morning for release before noon.
“Please note schedule below going forward:
“The regular Covid-19 press release will now be sent each morning [before 12noon] on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with the results of the previous day, rather than in the evening as has been the case. There will be no Saturday release at this time.
“Additionally, the weekly Tuesday press conference will still take place at A.B. Place at 5:45pm.”
