[Updated] A hearing is being held for the Commission of Inquiry into Historic Losses of Land in Bermuda today [Oct 26]. We will have additional coverage later on and in the meantime the live video is below.

The Commission said that the hearings resume with expert witness Dr. Quito Swan joining them via Zoom to “present his report on the expropriation of Tucker’s Town.”

    We need to be moving forward! This was a tragic case of ignorance being trumped by an educated class. This will not end and continues to be perpetrated today. No one is taking any of their wealth with them when they exit this stage. We need to be afraid of what is being cooked-up now, more than what has happened in the past.

    What I learned from this was that Black white Portuguese and other origin people had their land expropriated . I also learned that land in Warwick had a higher cost to buy than St David’s.
