Large Group Exemption: Inter-Island Communications Limited Bermuda Idol Competition

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Inter-Island Communications Limited – Bermuda Idol Competition is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on Saturday October 24, 2020 between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm at the Earl Cameron Theatre, City Hall, 52 Church Street, City of Hamilton, with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Maximum number of patrons permitted to attend – 160
  • Inter-Island Communications Limited to record names and contact details of patrons for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.
  • Wearing of masks required at all times save for the consumption of food and drinks.
  • Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
  • The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on Saturday February 6, 2020 between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club, 76 Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Maximum number of attendees – 120
  • Bermuda Masterworks Foundation to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each race day.
  • Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
  • Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.

Large Group Exemption: World Tens Series Rugby Matches

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed World Tens Series Rugby Matches is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on the below match dates and times of the World Tens Series Match Day Schedule the National Sports Centre [North Field] with the following conditions:

Match Days:

  • Saturday 24 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Sunday 24 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Saturday 31 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Sunday 1 November 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Saturday 7 November 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. [This will not apply to players and officials during the playing of a match]
  • Maximum number of spectators permitted to attend – 350 per match day.
    • Saturday 24 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
    • Sunday 24 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
    • Saturday 31 October 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
    • Sunday 1 November 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
    • Saturday 7 November 20 – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • Exemption shall apply to World Tens Series staff, TV Broadcasting staff, Security Firm personnel and catering staff.
  • World Tens Series to record names and contact details of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each match day.
  • Wearing of masks required at all times save for the consumption of food and drinks.
  • Security required to be on duty at each match. Ratio of security to be 1 officer per 75 spectators.
  • Establishment of an isolation room / tent for use by a person becoming ill at the event.
  • Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
  • The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda National Athletic Association – Cross Country Races is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on Saturday October 10, 2020 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm at Astwood Park, South Road, Warwick Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. [This will not apply to runners at start line waiting for race to start]
  • Maximum number of athletes – 150
  • Bermuda National Athletic Association to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each race day.
  • Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
  • Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
