Results: Premier & First Division Football Action

Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this past weekend, with Dandy Town Hornets, PHC Zebras, Devonshire Cougars, St. David’s, and Social Club all earning wins, while three other matches ended in draws.

Premier Division: Somerset Trojans 1 – Dandy Town Hornets 3

The Dandy Town Hornets took the lead in the 24th minute when Angelo Simmons scored; the lead was doubled three minutes later when Cecoy Robinson found the back of the net.

The Dandy Town Hornets took that 2 – 0 lead to the break.

The Somerset Trojans got back into the game in the 53rd minute when Nacori Smith scored, but Jahtino Richardson Martin restored the Dandy Town two-goal lead when he found the back of the net in the 73rd minute for the win.

Premier Division: Robin Hood 2 – Southampton Rangers 2

At the BAA Field, the Southampton Rangers came from 2 – 0 down to draw 2 – 2 with Robin Hood.

Liam Evans gave Robin Hood the lead in the 39th minute when he converted from the penalty spot. Dante Leverock doubled the Robin Hood lead with a goal in the 51st minute, but seven minutes later the Southampton Rangers were back in the match when Kieshon Wilson scored to make it 2 – 1.

Robin Hood had Kion Knights sent off for a foul committed in the box and Tre Ming stepped up and scored as the Rangers and Robin Hood shared the points.

Premier Division: North Village Rams 2 – X-Road’s 2

At Bernard’s Park, X-Road’s came from two goals down to draw 2 – 2 with the North Village Rams.

Jaizel Smith-DeShield gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 13th minute, one minute after X-Road’s Ian Coke shot wide at the other end from a breakaway. Smith-DeShield doubled the lead with a strike in the 25th minute.

The comeback started in the 75th minute when Donovan Thompson scored, and then two minutes later Paul Simons scored X-Road’s equalizer.

Premier Division: Somerset Eagles 1 – PHC Zebras 3

At the White Hill Field, the PHC Zebras defeated the Somerset Eagles 3 – 1.

The PHC Zebras got a hat trick from Enrique Russell; he found the back of the net in the 34th minute, the 57th minute, and then in the 90th minute. The lone goal for Somerset Eagles came in stoppage time when Tahj Wade scored.

Premier Division: St. George’s Colts 0 – Devonshire Cougars 1

At the Wellington Oval, the lone goal of this game came in the 42nd minute, with Drewonde Bascome scoring for the Devonshire Cougars in their 1 – 0 win over the St. George’s Colts.

First Division: St. David’s 1 – Boulevard Blazers 0

At Lord’s in St. David’s, the home team defeated the Boulevard Blazers 1 – 0. The lone goal of this game came in the first minute of the second half with Kejion Butterfield finding the back of the net.

First Division: Vasco 0 – Social Club 6

At the Bernard’s Park, Social Club defeated Vasco 6 – 0. Social Club got two goals from Jahmir Lewis-Trott, Giniko Butterfield, Ryan Parris, and K’Tori Butterfield, and an own goal accounted for the rest.

First Division: Wolves 0 – Ireland Rangers 0

This match scheduled for Garrison Field was not played due to the field not being marked.
