“They will not be standing alone as they will be reinforced by the One Bermuda Alliance Ministerial Subcommittees who will always be available to listen, and provide support to this team, and the community which they serve.”
Wow. Off to a bad start.
1. All 3 rejected by the electorate
Unbelieveable. The nonsense continues with both sides pulling the same string. So many good people overlooked. More speeches to be written on their behalf.
What are you moaning about? They didn’t make the House of Assembly, so what? It doesn’t mean they can’t contribute to the greater good. The Senate has long been a place for people who don’t make it to the House. Look around. The PLP do it too.
Every one of the PLP senators announced on October 8, 2020 were ‘rejected by the electorate’. Other than Rolfe; he has his own story.
You people have no idea what you’re talking about do you.
The people who were accepted by the electorate have jobs in another place and are thefore unavailable.
I guess you were looking for completely fresh faces? People who chose not to seek public office a month ago but now are ready to serve? Good luck with that.
It is not at all uncommon for former candidates to sit in the Senate.
No catherine kempe?
Unbelievable, the OBA still hasn’t grasped the seriousness of their decisions. They have picked people that lost the election for them because they didnt listen to the voters, and it appears the new leader is riding the same wave as the last one..
Your point is moot. The FACT is that both the PLP and the OBA appoint people to the Senate that might not make it to the House. The Senate is also seen as a training ground for newbies or those who don’t make it the first time. Im not saying it’s the right thing to do. I’m just saying that is what happens. David Burt appointed Rolfe Commissiong to the Senate even though he resigned in disgrace. Ergo, your point is moot.
As for the OBA not grasping the seriousness of their decisions? Like what? Like get a hotel built? Like get an airport built (even though all the naysayers have NEVER come up with an alternative to get the thing built)? Oh please.
It’s a never ending assault by the PLP and their diehards to define the OBA (or any future opposition).
No one is ever going to be good enough for them because they’re always going to define them as ‘old UBP’ , ‘de oligarchs’ , ‘tone deaf’ ‘racist’ and ad neauseum
it’s funny because the UBP consists of the PLP.
The PLP are homophobic…to the point of begging the Brits to help them discriminate.
Oh please 6! THE ONE BROKEN ALLIANCE LMAO
Ben Smith is a bad choice after speaking bad about the Premier’s Jamaican heritage. You defiantly desire the the FDM to be the next opposition.
