Winter Age Group Championships Underway
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s Winter Age Group Championships got underway at the BASA Pool.
A total of 7 swimmers took to the pool on the opening night competing at three different distances.
During the Girls 10 & Under 400 SC Meter Freestyle, Gaby Cechini from the Harbour Amateur Swim Club clocked a winning time of 6:13.46, Tallulah Parkinson, also from the Harbour Amateur Swim Club was second in 6:18.89.
Sharks Swim Club’s Logan Jones won the Boys 10 & Under 400 SC Meter Freestyle touching the wall in a Personal Best time of 6:18.53, while Joey Cechini from the Harbour Amateur Swim Club also had a Personal Best time 6:29.44.
The Girls 15 & Over 800 SC Meter Freestyle was won by Taylor White, from the Sharks Swim Club who was clocked at 9:28.61, while Tayla Horan, also from the Sharks Swim Club was second with a Personal Best time of 9:45.56.
Brian Desmond from the Sharks Swim Club won the Boys 15 & Over 1500 SC Meter Freestyle touching the wall in a time of 17:38.72.
