December 1, 2020

The Bermuda Ball Hockey Association’s 2020 playoffs are underway at the PCC Hockey Rink, with a double-header that resulted in 10 goals.

Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers 1 – Outback 2

This match was a close battle, with neither team scoring in the first period, but Outback broke the deadlock early in the second period when Cam Poland scored, and Kelly Foley then made it 2 – 0 to the Outback before the period came to an end.

The Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers got themselves back into the match when Richard Campbell scored early in the third period, but they could not find the all-important equalizer.

Appleby 4 – Frontier 3

Appleby edged Frontier in another match-up in the nightcap. Appleby led 2 – 1 at the end of the first period after Jeremy Estey gave Frontier the lead, however Ross Rufiange equalized for Appleby, before Andrew Kuzma returned Appleby to the lead.

Appleby would get the lone goal in the second period off the stick of Rufiange to take a 3 – 1 lead, and the third period produced three goals, with  Appleby claiming the win.
