Bermudian/French figure skater Vanessa James and her partner Akim Aliu joined Season Six of the Battle of the Blades, an event in Canada hosted by CBC.
The duo finished fourth earning $25,000 for The Time To Dream Foundation, which aims to make youth sports, including the game of hockey, more diverse, inclusive, affordable, and accessible to all.

Vanessa James is so inspiring!! Her grace and presence while performing on the ice is mesmerizing, to say the least. And the confidence she shows in her partner’s ability to ensure her safety in the lifts provides for an amazing performance. We must support her as our fellow Bermudian doing GREAT things abroad!

Too bad it’s in Canada though…we true, born Bermudians hate Canada…all they ever did was steal our airport and electricity.
