Video: 2021 ‘Virtual New Year’s Eve’ Celebration
With an 11pm curfew in effect for New Year’s Eve the normal parties will not be taking place, so in order to help ring in the new year, Bernews will live stream a ‘Virtual New Year’s Eve’ celebration this evening.
It will include footage from New Year’s Eve events over the past decade, a Bermuda themed virtual fireworks show, New Year greetings from some members of the community, footage of Gombey performances, a musical performance, and more.
We delved into our archives for footage of the past ten years of New Year’s Eve celebrations, and as to apologize in advance, some of the older footage is not the best quality, however it does provide a look back at past celebrations and it is blended with 2020/2021 specific footage such as the community greetings and musical performance.
The live stream will start at around 11.15pm/11.20pm, and you will also be able to view the broadcast on Bernews’ Facebook page YouTube channel, and Twitter feed.
