Saltus Student Tests Positive For Covid-19
[Updated] Noting they have been advised “that there is a Covid-19 case in Bermuda connected with a student who attends our Senior School,” Saltus said that “all Senior School students from Year 10 – SGY2 will be sent home.”
A spokesperson said, “Saltus has been advised by the Department of Health that there is a Covid-19 case in Bermuda connected with a student who attends our Senior School.
“As a result, all Senior School students from Year 10 – SGY2 will be sent home until contact tracing and required Department of Health protocols are initiated. If necessary, virtual learning will commence on Wednesday, 9th December 2020.
“The Saltus team is confident that based on school protocols, exposure has been limited and the affected classrooms are closed and will undergo additional cleaning. The school is committed to sharing information with the Saltus Community that is accurate and based upon advice from Health authorities.”
This follows after CedarBridge staff and students were ‘excluded from school’ today following a positive case; students, teachers and staff of Dellwood Middle School were told to quarantine for a total of 14 days after two members of their staff tested positive for Covid-19, and the staff and students at of Clearwater Middle School have also been told to quarantine for 14 days after a “non-teaching worker employed at Clearwater Middle School tested positive for the coronavirus.”
Update 5.06pm: Saltus sent a new statement saying that “a student who attends Saltus Senior School has tested positive for Covid-19.”

Both had one positive case, so why is Saltus closing 2 years, and Cedarbridge closes the whole school?
