Premier Virtually Meets With Governor Lalgie
Premier David Burt met with Bermuda’s new Governor Rena Lalgie following her swearing in earlier today [Dec 14], with the meeting apparently held via video conferencing.
Governor Lalgie arrived on the island with her family on Sunday night, and Government House noted that they are “in quarantine at Government House in compliance with the Public Health Regulations.”
She was “sworn in as Governor of Bermuda during a closed event held at Government House” where officials said that “all necessary precautions” were observed.
Following her swearing in today, the Governor — the first Black and female Governor in Bermuda’s history — said, “It is a privilege to have begun my service as Governor of Bermuda. My family and I look forward to settling into Bermudian life.”
This evening, Premier Burt tweeted the photo below, saying: “Following her swearing in earlier today, I met with Bermuda’s new Governor, Her Excellency Ms. Rena Lalgie.”
Burt and his cronies won’t get anything over on her, she’s on a mission which started with Dreb, watch and learn.
