BSF Partners With Sargasso Sea Ltd
The Bermuda Sloop Foundation [BSF] and Sargasso Sea Ltd have partnered to launch an online store for the Spirit of Bermuda retail collection, with the proceeds from items purchased via the app and website to go toward the Spirit of Bermuda education programs for middle school students.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Sloop Foundation [BSF] and on-demand marketplace and mobile delivery service Sargasso Sea Ltd have partnered up on an online store for the Spirit of Bermuda retail collection.
“Proceeds from items purchased via the Sargasso Sea App and website will go toward the Spirit of Bermuda education programs for middle school students. The online store is now open and ready for those last few shopping days before Christmas.”
Robin Hamill, CEO of the Bermuda Sloop Foundation, said, “Partnering with Sargasso Sea made perfect sense when considering how best to showcase and share with the community our Spirit of Bermuda clothing and gift items.
“Given the heightened demand for at home delivery and contactless shopping during these times, Sargasso Sea makes reaching new and existing supporters, alumni, and donors easier and effortless. And, purchasing our merchandise online is a really easy way to support our youth programs.
“Many of Bermuda’s youth, as well as community and corporate groups, have had the opportunity to go on the Spirit of Bermuda, so now we can provide them with a memento of their experience, and their purchases will help keep the Spirit programs active.
“For many students who participate, it’s a life changing experience.”
The spokesperson said, “The mission of the BSF is to build resilience, character and education development through experiential learning on the Spirit of Bermuda. Character building, environmental stewardship, STEAM learning, teamwork and maritime training are just a few of the many themes students experience.
“Like many organizations this year, the BSF has had to change tack and adjust to the current climate yet remain focused and dedicated to their cause. Adding an online retail offering is a new way to engage with the community.”

“The Bermuda Sloop Foundation on the Sargasso Sea app is available now. Sales and deliveries are available Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 4.00pm. The Sargasso Sea mobile app is available for download in the App Store or Google Play, or through Sargasso’s website.
