2021 Butterfield & Vallis 5K To Be Held Virtually
The Butterfield & Vallis 5K road race will be held virtually on Sunday, January 24th, with participants encouraged to run or/walk either 5K or 2K in their neighbourhood.
A spokesperson said, “The first event on the race calendar for 2021 is the Virtual Butterfield & Vallis 5K on January 24th.
“This event is usually one of the largest running/walking events with close to 1,000 participants but due to the restrictions in place, this year residents are being encouraged to stay safe…stay strong…stay healthy and run [or walk] either 5K or 2K in their own bubble and neighbourhood.
“Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Bermuda Heart Foundation.

“Parents are encouraged to sign up their children and name the school they attend as the Primary, Middle and Secondary school with the most entries will receive $500.
“Drive-through number, shirt and goodie bag collection is on Saturday, January 23rd at Butterfield & Vallis on Woodlands Road from 10am to 2pm. Masks and hand sanitizer are required and participants are urged to stay in their cars.
“The first 1,000 participants at number pick-up will receive a goodie bag filled with products from Highland Spring, Planters, Jif Peanut Butter, Axe, Ronzoni, Pepperidge Farm, Hefty and Silk PLUS this year’s safety orange dri-fit shirt is bound to be a hot ticket item.
“Draw prizes include two bikes from Winners’ Edge, Sportseller vouchers Bookmart vouchers plus BF&M have kindly donated 7 activity trackers [Garmins and Fitbits].
