Moore & Northern Colorado Claim Double Win

January 9, 2021

Madelyn Moore and her Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving teammates had a perfect start to 2021.

In a quad dual featuring the Air Force Academy, the Colorado School of Mines, and Colorado Mesa, UNC sweep all three matchups Friday evening in a performance that featured seven wins for head coach Lisa Ebeling and Northern Colorado.

BNV Sports interview with swimmer Madelyn Moore held last month:

Northern Colorado edged US Air Force Academy 121-120, they also defeated the Colorado Schools of Mines 173.5-52.5 and they would also record a win over the Colorado Mesa University 127-114.

Northern Colorado kick-started the evening with its season-best swim in the women’s 200-yard medley relay with Moore leading off, they clocked a time of 1:43.25.

Madelyn Moore started the new year off with a bang. Taking home the women’s 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.14, which was 8 tenths of a second off her personal best and school record.

Needing a solid effort to cap off what had already been an impressive evening, Moore, Ali Jackson, Katelyn Bergin, and Saana Liikonen outswam everyone to take home the final event of the night which was the women’s 400 yard freestyle relay, and secure the victory over all three schools in the quad dual format.
