Video: BTA Spotlights Farmer Manuel DeSilva
In the second of a series featuring ‘BTA Harvest Heroes’ for the 2021 Restaurant Weeks, the Bermuda Tourism Authority highlighted Manuel DeSilva.
The BTA said, “Farming is in Manuel DeSilva’s blood. Three generations of the DeSilva family work on the farm, growing and harvesting fresh produce for our island. Celebrate our island’s farmers during Restaurant Weeks 2021 running January 14 until February 11.”
The BTA previously noted that locally caught and harvested food are the focus of this year’s Bermuda Restaurant Weeks, with restaurateurs urged “to create Bermuda-inspired menus and are particularly encouraged to focus on five local food-harvest areas: lobster, lionfish, goat cheese, honey and locally grown produce.”
The 2021 Restaurant Weeks runs from January 14 to February 11. Diners can expect three price tiers: $32, $42 and $52 for three-course, prix-fixe menus for dinner, and $22 two-course meals for lunch, and you can view the menus here on the BTA website.
