10% Fuel Discount For BPS, RBR, KEMH, BFRS
Police, fire, hospital and Bermuda Regiment personnel will be eligible for a 10% discount on Esso fuel purchases for two weeks in February, courtesy of CG Insurance, a member of the Coralisle Group Ltd.
“Police, fire, hospital and Bermuda Regiment personnel will receive discounts at the pump starting Friday, February 12th and ending Friday, February 26th. All that is required is production of a valid Professional ID at the point of purchase,” a spokesperson said.
“Essential workers have been on the frontline helping Bermuda get through the pandemic,” Naz Farrow, Coralisle Group CEO, said. “They’ve stepped up, they’ve helped to keep us going. This discount is one way to express our support, appreciation and thanks for the work they are doing.”
The company noted that the discount is the “latest step by CG Insurance to extend a helping hand during the pandemic in the communities it operates. CG companies have donated more than $100,000 to non-profit organizations.”
“In Bermuda, the company has contributed to the Bermuda Emergency Fund and taken multiple steps to ease pressures on clients, including postponing 2020 premium rate renewals to 2021 and offering policy renewal discounts to individual motor clients, particularly taxi owners who faced serious business losses as a result of the pandemic,” a spokesperson said.
Ms Farrow said CG’s people-first philosophy “has always been anchored to the fact that we operate in small communities and that the health of those communities is basic to the health of our business.”
“The pandemic has created extraordinary challenges for Bermudians. People are suffering from job losses, shrinking family budgets, separations, anxiety. We can’t stand apart from it because we are part of it. We want to help and we will continue looking for opportunities to do so,” she added.
