Strategic Risk Solutions Appoints Anna Pereira
Strategic Risk Solutions announced today that Anna Pereira has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Insurance-Linked Securities [ILS], effective March 1st.
A spokesperson said, “Pereira takes up her role on March 1, 2021. Based in Bermuda and reporting to Managing Director Jonathan Reiss, Pereira will be responsible for supporting SRS’s ongoing expansion in the ILS and fund administration sectors.”

“She’s joining a best-in-class team of professionals who are excited about the significant growth opportunities presented by current market conditions, SRS’s sterling reputation in insurance company management, and its independence from broker ownership. In addition, SRS has recently added fund administration resources through its acquisition last year of Dyna Management.
“Together with Matthew Charleson, who joined us in December 2020; Derek Bridgeman, who’s based in Dublin; and Peter Child, who will join us in July and will be based in Guernsey, SRS is well positioned to be the service provider of choice for growing ILS businesses.”
The company said, “Pereira has over 25 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance, alternative risk transfer and capital markets in Bermuda. She is currently a Director and co-founder of MANA Consulting Ltd. and for the last six years has specialized in ILS and collateralized reinsurance for transformer entities and fronting carriers.
“Pereira was Head of Treasury for Horseshoe Group and, prior to that, was Head of Captive and Insurance Banking at HSBC Bank Bermuda Ltd. where she was instrumental in leading the bank’s ILS initiative and record growth in Bermuda and the US.
“Pereira has held various underwriting positions with Chubb Financial Solutions, Quanta Re, and Everest Re in Bermuda and has experience in financial guarantee, financial lines and casualty insurance/reinsurance underwriting. She currently leads marketing and overseas promotion for ILS Bermuda Ltd., which operates as a non-profit organization. She has served on ILS Bermuda’s Steering Committee since its inception.
“Pereira studied Management Economics at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada and holds an Associate in Reinsurance [ARe] designation.”
