Photos: Bacardi Workshop With BDA Influencers
This past weekend, Bacardi, who has their global headquarters in Bermuda, partnered with local influencer group, BDA Influencers to “Stir Creativity and inspire local creatives to take their social media and networking capabilities to new heights.”
A spokesperson said, “Hosted at The Ledgelets Cottage Colony in Somerset, Bermuda, a group of local fashion designers, photographers, and artists came together to participate in a series of workshops led by local and international social media gurus designed to ignite their creativity.
“Speed networking, vision boarding, and presentations on personal branding and growing your social media following were just some of the topics covered. Guests were also able to tap into some of the talent driving Bacardi’s global brands and learn more about how to take their business international. As a unique twist to traditional events, guests were also encouraged to channel their creativity into mixing a perfectly unique cocktail and were guided by Bacardi mixologists.”
Vernon Pemberton, Bacardi Brand Ambassador explained that the afternoon was designed to encourage collaboration and creativity, saying: “Bombay Sapphire is one of the many gems in our portfolio of brands and has a long-standing reputation for championing creativity.
“With its unique combination of botanicals and vapour distillation process that is renowned for delivering a perfectly balanced taste profile, it provided the perfect canvas for experimentation and creativity. We wanted to offer guests an experience where they could unleash their talent and create their own signature drinks, as well as learn from some of the top social media leaders within our company.”
“Bermuda has an incredible community of artists that are working together to create new and fresh ideas and BDA Influencers has created a platform to foster collaboration and community. This group of young creatives are enabling others to discover opportunities to grow.”
One of the group’s organizers, Shantia Seymour shares, “We are excited to work with Bacardi to continue building the local community of young creatives.
“Social media is an essential tool for connecting with the world and sharing your talent and being able to tap into the resources at Bacardi is a great opportunity. Many local artists struggle with pushing beyond Bermuda’s shores and the more we can network, collaborate and tap into the power of social media, the further we can reach.”
