Premier Burt Visits Bus Operator Peter Ramotar

March 19, 2021

Premier David Burt recently took the time to visit Mr. Peter Ramotar, the bus operator who was recently assaulted by a passenger.

The police previously confirmed that they are investigating the assault, with the suspect reportedly punching and kicking Mr. Ramotar after he asked the suspect to leave the bus as he was being abusive to children.

Premier Burt tweeted the photo below, saying: “I took some time to visit my friend, Mr. Peter Ramotar at his home where he is recovering from an assault that occurred while doing his job transporting primary school students home. The Government is committed to keeping Bus Operators safe, and I wish Mr. Ramotar a fast recovery.”
